Welcome to the Dining Program at Rutgers University-Newark

 

Our core mission is to serve high quality, authentic foods through interactive dining programs and community events utilizing the most recent trends in campus dining, all while showcasing our dedication to exceptional customer service. Additionally, being a New Jersey business, we’ve partnered with many local vendors to help bring our customers the freshest available ingredients. Rutgers Dining features a wide variety of wholesome and delicious menu selections that support the local economy, celebrate the diversity of the campus and promote sustainability.

 

Offering a wide variety of food choices across Rutgers University-Newark Campus, Gourmet Dining provides the service of a full time registered dietitian to meet the needs of students and faculty with dietary needs ranging from allergies, diabetes, religious preferences, sick meals, and even picky eaters.

 

Gourmet Dining is committed to supporting and nourishing the Rutgers University-Newark community during this challenging and uncertain time. Our services are continuing to operate, although we have had to make modifications to services and hours of operations as a health and safety precaution against the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

 

Our team is dedicated to ensuring cleanliness and reducing virus transmission. You may notice some additional changes in your dining experience, including:

 

• On-campus dining will be offered “to-go” and dining seating areas will be closed.
• No self-service buffet serving stations can be allowed.
• Mobile Ordering will be available later in the semester
• Food will be served to patrons from our staff behind sneeze-guards to prevent transmission.
• We will ask patrons to stand 6 feet apart from each other at all times (physical distancing).

 

The Rutgers University-Newark dining staff is diligently cleaning throughout our facilities. Staff has been instructed to wear masks and wash hands frequently. We will have several stations throughout each facility that provide sanitizer to patrons.
